Bill is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants with over forty years executive experience in the chemicals, engineering and aviation sectors both within finance and general management.

He has significant experience in international operations and business development including several years working in operations in Europe and Asia Pacific with Courtaulds PLC. He was Finance Director at Babcock International Group PLC where he was jointly responsible for the acquisition and integration of a range of businesses including Devonport Management Ltd, the submarine support organisation, VT Group PLC, the listed defence and support services company and Avincis Ltd, the critical aviation services business. Bill was also CEO of Babcock Mission Critical Services and Global Growth and Operations.

Outside of his executive roles, Bill was a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of Southern Water from 2015 to 2019 and has advised a number of private equity funds.
